At the centre of every successful product lies excellence in research, design and development. Springtech’s expertise in these areas is at the very heart of its operation. Springtech’s in-house Product Design Centre, along with its Tooling Centre, delivers the early stage design and prototyping of components.
This early stage investment in design and material selection ensures tool development accurately delivers the design features of the product. It also allows the easy ongoing maintenance required to keep the tools in top condition throughout their life span.
A quality focus to ensure customer satisfaction
Our design engineers work closely with clients to conceptualise, design, prototype and test precision springs, wireforms and flat strip components for use in a wide spectrum of industrial applications. The process involves Springtech experts scrutinising and checking the quality and viability of the detail on an ongoing basis to ensure that the technical feasibility of the intended part will satisfy the long-term product application and business goal of the client.
Development and design for both existing and new products
Springtech’s Product Design Centre and Tooling Centre support a client’s product brief from concept through to design, prototype, development and testing stages. It perfects the development for both existing products and also supports the entrepreneurial spirit by delivering bespoke parts for brand new product designs.
Spring Design – spring testers – fatigue testers
At Springtech our designers consider the working gravity, load requirements and operating environments when designing spring technology. They utilise spring testers to inspect for load deflections, free height and spring rate. Fatigue testers are employed to predict the life cycle of the manufactured components.
Material expertise
At Springtech we use a wide variety of standard and super alloys (exotic materials) including; stainless steel, music wire, aluminium, beryllium copper, chrome vanadium, elgiloy, hastelloy, inconel, monel, nimonic, nickel-iron-chromium, phynox, phosphor bronze, tantalum and titanium.
Springtech material experts and design engineers work in partnership with clients to ensure optimum performance is delivered based on using specialist materials that match the application working environment.
