As part of our added-value service we provide strategic stocking capabilities for material and/or finished product to ensure fast turnaround for availability-sensitive customer demand requirements.
Materials and Finishing
We offer a wide range of materials to ensure that spring performance and longevity is always optimised for the specific application. We only source materials from long-term supply partners in the U.K, U.S.A and western Europe.
Our specialist spring Engineers have a wealth of experience working with a wide range of material types including:
- High carbon steels
- Saltwater and corrosion resistant alloys
- High temperature alloys
Material is available in round, square section, shaped and rope wire, diameters from 0.2mm to 25.4mm (1”) – dependent on material type.
We offer a range of product finishing services, via our subcon specialist network, including; plating, coating, specialised heat treatment, de-embrittlement, passivation etc. Many of the finishes can be certified to specific defence or aerospace standards.
