Grinding

Some specific applications require the production of flat surface springs, whereby the ends of the spring are levelled off via the grinding process. 

Complimenting its coiling division, Springtech incorporates its comprehensive grinding centre which provides an extensive range of grinding facilities and scragging where required.

Fully equipped grinding facilities
The company employs over a dozen spring grinders enabling the grinding of variable sized springs, which cater for both mass and small volume production.

The grinding process is also used to create very fine finishes and accurate dimensions at the tool making stage, so that Springtech’s spring and wireform components always meet with the highest quality standards.
