Springs and wireforms
Employing the latest CNC automated spring coilers and wireforming equipment, Springtech provides an integrated facility to manufacture a wide range of springs and wireforms. Our extensive team of coiling experts also provide specialist hand coiling.
At Springtech, we specialise in wire sizes between 0.01 mm and 14.00 mm, yet we also undertake the manufacture of industrial-sized springs.
Unbeatable range
Springtech manufactures a wide selection of spring types, including compression springs, torsion springs, tension springs, carter springs, clock springs, extension springs, wave springs, flat springs and many other varieties. As such, Springtech has significant expertise in the design and manufacture of both standard and highly complex components.
Integrated in-house facilities
Our spring coiling capabilities are complimented by a range of further services including heat treatment, automated and manual grinding, parts cleaning and inspection / quality management facilities. Springtech’s integrated manufacturing and process facilities ensure total quality control throughout all stages of manufacture.
Bespoke and stocked parts
Springs and wireforms are made to order; or they can be ordered as standard parts, which are available upon request. Whether you have a drawing to work against or whether you want our Spring Design team to work with you to develop the most mechanically efficient spring component; our vast expertise will accommodate your needs.
Material expertise and availability
Springtech stocks most commonly used and exotic materials in order to ensure lead-times are reduced and product delivery timescales are minimised.
We use a wide variety of standard and exotic materials including; stainless steel, music wire, aluminium, beryllium copper, chrome vanadium, elgiloy, hastelloy, inconel, monel, nimonic, nickel-iron-chromium, phynox, phospor bronze, tantalum and titanium.
Integral process facilities
Springtech delivers the full remit of manufacturing services to give you the exact component, the way that you need it, and when you need it. Processes include:
• Grinding
• Heat treatment
• Parts cleaning
Grinding
Complementing Springtech’s Coiling Division, Springtech houses a Grinding Centre to deliver a range of grinding and scragging capabilities. Over a dozen grinders facilitate the grinding of variable sized springs. Manually handled grinders for small volumes processing and automated mass volumes grinders are also housed on-site.
Heat treatment – optimising material properties
Springtech facilities include gas and electric ovens that can cater for heat treatment up to 1100ºC. We also house a fully equipped oiling division.
Accurate temperature control blended with Springtech’s metallurgist expertise and state-of-the-art oven and furnace facilities cater for component annealing, tempering or quenching (hardening).
Parts cleaning
The Springtech Finishing Centre marks the end of the production journey for the spring component. Springtech’s state of the art chemical cleaning, vapour degreasing and passivation facilities ensure the optimum cleanliness of manufactured parts prior to delivery.
